28 August 2026, UJIRE: School hosted “Sanskritotsava,” a festival dedicated to the Sanskrit language. The special event, organized under the theme ‘Asmakam Samskrutam Mama’, was celebrated on 28 August 2026.

The program was officially inaugurated by Mr. Harish Kumar M., a Sanskrit Lecturer at the SDM English Medium School (State Syllabus) in Ujire. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the cultural importance of the language:He encouraged everyone to study Sanskrit to become well-cultured individuals.He cautioned students against neglecting the language due to modern infatuations.He expressed his deep reverence for the language, stating, “May Sanskrit become our breath, may Sanskrit prosper, and may Sanskrit shine.”.

The festival showcased a variety of traditional performances and speeches designed to honor the language:The event kicked off with a procession that featured Sanskrit victory slogans.The itinerary included the traditional reading of the Panchanga and the recitation of Subhashitas.Attendees also enjoyed group singing and listened to a speech detailing the significance of World Sanskrit Day.
