UJIRE, 22 December 2026: The vibrant spirit of student creativity took center stage as our school officially inaugurated ‘Kalabdhi-2025’, a two-day mega talent show. The event, held at the Indraprastha Auditorium, marks the school’s anniversary celebrations and serves as a platform for students to showcase their diverse skills.The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by Usha Karanth, President of the Ujire Gram Panchayat, and Vice President Ravi Baramelu. The ceremony was witnessed by a large gathering of enthusiastic students, proud parents, and faculty members.

A highlight of the opening ceremony was the unveiling of the ‘Kala Kusuri’, a specially designed wall panel created by the students to commemorate the essence of Kalabdhi-2025.The event also served as a moment of recognition for those who have excelled beyond the classroom. A special felicitation ceremony was held to honor teachers who provided specialized training in Music, Karate, Harmonium, Bharatanatyam, Yakshagana, and Drama, helping students achieve recognition at the taluk and district levels, teachers who successfully completed the prestigious South Guide Himalayan Wood Badge training and students who demonstrated exceptional academic and extracurricular performance during the previous academic year.With performances ranging from the traditional Yakshagana to contemporary drama, ‘Kalabahi-2025’ underscores SDM School’s commitment to preserving local heritage while fostering modern talent. The two-day festival promises a series of competitive and exhibition events designed to bring out the best in every student.
