11 July 2026,UJIRE: With the aim of fostering athletic excellence and nurturing sports skills among students, a specialized table tennis training program was officially inaugurated at the School’s Multi-disciplinary hall on 11 July 2026.

The program was formally launched by International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Coach Ashwin Kumar Padukone. Speaking at the inauguration, Padukone highlighted the comprehensive benefits of the sport, emphasizing that table tennis is not just about physical strength but is deeply instrumental in developing a student’s mental agility, concentration, and self-confidence. He encouraged the young athletes to pursue the sport with dedication, wishing them success in bringing laurels and glory to the institution.The inaugural ceremony was graced by several key sports personalities and institutional leaders, including coaches Mr.Nitish and Pawan, SDM Sports Club Sports Secretary Mr Ramesh H., and SDM Degree College Physical Education Director Ms Sharada.
