School Celebrates Founder’s Day with Grandeur

Ujire, November 25, 2025: School celebrated its annual Founder’s Day with great enthusiasm and reverence at the School Campus today. The event honored the remarkable contributions of the institution’s founders and provided an inspiring session for the students and staff.

​Esteemed Guests and Proceedings

​The ceremony was graced by Prof. ShridharBhat, Registrar of SDM College, Ujire, who attended as the Chief Guest. Present alongside the Chief Guest was the school Principal, Mr.ManamohanNaik K.G., the teaching staff, and the vibrant student body.The event commenced sharply at 9:30 AM. Principal Mr.ManamohanNaik K.G. extended a warm and gracious welcome to all the dignitaries, guests, parents, staff, and students, setting a positive tone for the day’s proceedings. The proceedings were skillfully compered by Mrs. Shanty George.

​Inspiring Address by the Chief Guest

​In his keynote address, Chief Guest Prof. ShridharBhat highlighted the monumental contributions of Dr. D. VeerendraHeggade, his wife, and his esteemed forefathers. He lauded their selfless service across various critical sectors, specifically mentioning their invaluable work in:

  • Education, ​Medicine. ​Promoting Self-Employment, ​Renovation of Temples,
  • ​Providing aid to poor people and farmers,
  • ​Organizing group wedding ceremonies for poor couples, ​The continuous supply of food (Annadana) in the temple.

​Prof.ShridharBhat passionately conveyed that Dr. D. VeerendraHeggade had personally imbibed these qualities of goodness from his own parents and family. He concluded his inspiring speech with a powerful and motivational statement, emphasizing the importance of historical knowledge: “One who knows the history makes the history.”Aligning with the tradition of honoring its visionary leadership, the Founder’s Birthday celebration was observed with great fervor, focusing on the essence of the Founder’s work and societal impact. The entire program was efficiently coordinated by Mrs.Pavithra and Mrs.Neethu Prasad.

​Students from Class 1 to 10 engaged in a wide range of age-appropriate activities:

​Primary Section (Class 1-5): Students participated in “Dot activity,” greeting card preparation (Class 1 & 2), and collage making, bookmark creation, and wall hanging preparation (Class 3, 4 & 5). A special song session and general information sharing were also conducted.

​Middle & High School (Class 6-10):

  • ​Class 6 created Posters on “The path shown by VeerendraHeggadeji.”
  • ​Class 7 innovated a “Suvichar” book focusing on “Goal setting and achievements.”
  • ​Class 8 compiled Scrapbooks titled “A Great humanitarian leader,” tracing the founder’s journey.

​Senior students (Class 9 & 10) presented projects on the “Essence of SDM,” highlighting the benefits of SKDRDP projects to society.The celebration culminated with an enriching cultural showcase, featuring group performances that demonstrated the students’ artistic talents:

  • ​A captivating Thematic Skit
  • ​A Vibrant Dance Performance

The event successfully celebrated the founding vision of the institution while instilling values of service, community development, and historical awareness among the attendees.
