Ujire, November 7, 2025:Schoolmarked the momentous 75th Foundation Day and Flag Day of The Bharat Scouts and Guides (BS&G) organization with patriotic zeal and enthusiasm.
Commemoration of the Diamond Jubilee
The celebration was particularly significant as it marked the 75th BS&G Foundation Day, honouring a legacy of “Creating – Better India Since 1909.” The unified body, The Bharat Scouts and Guides, was formally established on November 7, 1950, following the merger of various existing youth organizations after India gained independence. The celebratory logo highlights the Diamond Jubilee, spanning the years 1950-2025, and features a ring that proudly proclaims “Glorious Service to the Nation.” This historical event is celebrated every year across the country as the Foundation Day and Flag Day of the institution.The program successfully instilled the values of discipline, selfless service, and patriotism, which are fundamental to the Scouts and Guides movement, among the students.
Foundation Day Flag Presentation
A significant part of the ceremony was the presentation of the Foundation Day Flag. The Foundation Day Flag sent by the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Karnataka State Organization, was officially handed over to the school by Mrs.Pramila, Secretary of the Belthangady Local Association of BS&G.The school, in turn, presented and honored the flag stamps to Dr.Satishchandra S., Secretary of the SDM Educational Institutions, at his office. The flag Stamp was then formally distributed to the students, symbolizing the continuation of the movement’s ideals.
Reinforcing Core Values
The ceremony was conducted with great national spirit and aimed at imparting the principles of Scouts and Guides. Teacher Shameem highlighted the importance of the day, elaborating on the core values of the movement such as character building, physical health, and community service. The program was smoothly anchored by teacher Nayana.
