Workshop in collaboration with Shell Nxplorer’s  Learning Link Foundation

Ujire, Oct. 24: School in collaboration with Shell Nxplorer’s Learning Link Foundation, organized a two-day workshop titled Shell Nxplorers Junior Programme for the students of Class 6. The event was held at the school’s ATL Lab with the aim of nurturing problem-solving skills among young learners in areas concerning food, water, and energy.The programme was inaugurated by Mrs. Vidya Kiran, HM of SDM Secondary School, Ujire. The workshop was coordinated by Mr. Mohammed Shakeer, Manager of the Learning Link Foundation, Dakshina Kannada District. The sessions focused on guiding students to explore innovative solutions aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals—Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), and Goal 12 (Responsible Production and Consumption).Under the coordination of Ms. Veena K and Ms. Smitha Kini, and the guidance of Principal Mr. Manamohan Naik K. G., the enthusiastic participants engaged in various interactive sessions and hands-on activities. One of the highlights was a working model of a windmill designed by students to demonstrate water lifting through renewable energy.

In the valedictory programme, Principal Manmohan Naik K. G. gave away the memento to Mr. Sakeer, recognizing his role in coordinating the initiative. The workshop successfully encouraged scientific thinking, creativity, and environmental awareness among the students, fostering a sense of responsibility toward building a sustainable future.
