On June 13, 2025: A yoga training class aimed at students was officially inaugurated at SDM Secondary School, Ujire, in celebration of World Yoga Day. The inauguration was conducted by distinguished resource persons, Dr. Geeta B. Shetty, who serves as the Dean of the Nutrition and Dietetics Department at SDM Nature Cure and Yoga Science College, Ujire, alongside Dr. Ashwini A. Deep, a first-year MD (Clinical Yoga) student, who provided valuable insights into the significance of yoga.
Ms. Divya B.U. and Ms. Nirvana, both final-year students from SDM Nature Cure and Yoga Science College, took on the role of trainers, assisting the school students in their yoga practice. The event was presided over by the school Principal, Mr. Manamohan Naik K.G. The programme was compered by Assistant Teacher Ms. Shanty George, while Principal Manamohan Naik K.G. delivered the welcome address.
